A Glenmora man has been charged with home improvement fraud after allegedly not finishing brick work for which he had been paid, officials said.

Jody Wilson Strange, 31, of 6011 La. Highway 112, Glenmora, was arrested Tuesday by Rapides Parish sheriff's detectives.

Authorities said the victim contacted the Sheriff's Office on Jan. 20 to report that Strange had been given two payments of $1,500 for doing brick work at a residence on Pearce Road in Pineville.

"However, Strange never completed the work, and the victim had to hire another contractor to finish the work," the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

After an investigation, detectives secured a warrant to arrest Strange, who was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and later released on a $1,500 bond.
