A former teacher arrested in February after being accused of having sex with an underage student was indicted Thursday by a grand jury, according to the Rapides Parish District Attorney's Office.

Donald Gene Parker III was indicted on two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, one count of pornography with juveniles and one count of computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

According to court records, an arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Parker, a 28-year-old Glenmora resident. He was arrested on Friday morning by Rapides Parish Sheriff's deputies at his home. He remains in the Rapides Parish Detention Center on an additional $40,000 bond.

Parker had been arrested on Feb. 2 after an investigation into a complaint filed with the Glenmora Police Department alleged that he had sex with an underage student and that he also went to the student's home to prevent a report being made.

Parker had been a teacher at Glenmora High School, but was removed after the allegations.
